Default ALDS MVP

I know they don't have an MVP award for the first round, though I think
they should, but if they did my vote would go for Scutaro.

Perhaps, but I think Thomas and Zito would also be big candidates.

It's hard to give a pitcher the nod with only one start, but Zito's
huge Game One set the tone for the whole series. If he gets rocked in
that start, the A's probably wouldn't have won the series.

Thomas also got the A's off right with the two solo HRs in Game One.

Methinks the Game One loss had the same effect on the Twins as it did
on the A's in the 1988 World Series.

Not a well thought-out statement--but about your average. If you think that
the impact of this year's first game and the game in which Kirk Gibson came
off the bench with a gimpy leg, and hit a walk off home run against the best
closer in baseball--well let me just say you will be watching that Gibson
replay as long as there is baseball whereas I do not believe the Oak/Minn
first game will get much play in the future. Now put away that stuff you
smoke and try to remember there is a game tonight. Are you still in
Detroit for the game? Get there early so you can get a good seat.

You really can't read, can you, Erik? Nor can you argue.
