Ethier questions
Hi,
Living on the east coast I don't get too much opportunity to see the Dodgers play. Could someone enlighten me about Andre Eithier. How good a defensive player is he? I have read that he does not have a strong arm (therefore he has only played LF). But how well does he cover ground, judge flies etc. Average, better than average, below average? Also since the Dodgers have chosen to use Marlon Anderson over him do the Dodgers intend to have Ethier as their LF'er next year or was he just a stopgap? Ethier's bat got really cold, he got scouted and now seems to swing at
anything, lost a lot of confidence. Mostly, he was just so hot for a while, I guess it was too good to be true. Defense is average, I guess, I don't recall any bonehead plays or errors.
