The Rose Award goes to Marco Scutaro of the Oakland Athletics, who went
two-for-four with four RBI in a 8-3 win over the Minnesota Twins. Oakland, 0-9 in potential division series-clinching games since 2000, ends 'curse' with the 8-3 victory to complete the sweep. The Angels' Bill Stoneman also contributed towards the A's success this season, but he doesn't want to hear about it. |

I'm wondering if there's *even one* player that gets excited if they "win". |

Scutaro was really good. By giving him this award, are you claiming he was playing hard because he had bet on the game, or what? I don't think I get why you would want to insult a really good player by associating him with the name of a guy who has been banned for life from the game. But hey, it's a free country. Brian J |

Yes, it's a free country. Free enough for you to get 4,256 hits in major league baseball. Only thing is, you have to be good enough to do so. |

This Rose award thing is stoopid.
