The way the regular season ended for the Tigers I didn't think the
Tigers would have momentum in the post-season. Let's face it, getting swept by the Royals in the last regular season series & losing your hold on the AL Central Championship was not a great way to head into the post-season. The Tigers have overcome all that though. While I remain a Sox fan, I'll be rooting for the AL Central Detroit Tigers the rest of the way. Best wishes to the Tigers! Win it all!!! Bring a World Championship home to Detroit and back to the AL Central again. - DrCrawdad. |

Here! Here! I was thrilled with the way the Tigers played. I live in upstate NY and all the Yankee fans here figured that the only worthy contender was Oakland. I am definitely going to get copies of both the Daily News and Post tomorrow and read all the whining. Maybe something good can come from all this. After all, maybe ARod has played himself out of NY. I think he would fit in quite nicely in the South Side. |

Yeah, the Tigers got swept by a cellar dweller at the season finale, only to come from behind to beat a favored team in the post season. The cellar dweller was the Washington Senators and the year was 1968. The year before that the Tigers lost the last game of the season to yield the pennant to the Red Sox. the more things change, the more they stay the same... Quote:
