That is almost as much fun as saying Giants lose. Which is almost as much
fun as saying Dodgers win! -- "Despair begins with the division of the will." Kierkegaard |

Did you see how the Tigers shared that victory with their fans? Priceless.
Good for them. |

$200 million just doesn't buy what it used to.

That is the problem. They buy every team. Don't get me wrong, they do very well with what they buy. The Dodgers could be in such a position but don't do as well with what they buy. The upside is the Dodgers bring new talent into the game. This year's examples are Martin and Ethier. The Yankees just buy other people's hard work. This is good for business but bad for the game. |

Lame, I love how people who most likely are using Microsoft software, shop at wal-mart and buy products from multi-national capitalist corporations decide that the important moral distinction should be made.....over a baseball team. Just studpi, but don't worry, plenty of room for the Dodgers on the couch next to the Yankees after the Mets finish their sweep. |

don't trouble yourself over my purchasing decisions, princess. you are trying to obscure the point, towit; the yankees payroll is twice the next highest payroll in baseball (not including the bosox, who have to at least attempt to keep up with the madness) and they still can't get past the first round. THAT is lame. 1. NY Yankees 198,662,180 2. Boston 120,100,524 3. LA Angels 103,625,333 4. Chicago Sox 102,875,667 5. NY Mets 100,901,085 6. I don't but I would guess books about logic are not included in those purchases Quote:
4 WS in 11 years and well over a decade with a winning record every year is hardly lame. Winning one playoff game since 1988 is plenty lame. But feel free to whine on and on about the evils of capitalism in baseball, some deaf drunk hippy somewhere must give a shit. |
