2 years in a row he disappeared during the playoff. Last year he OPS'd
..581, and this year, .258! That's OPS, folks, not BA. His BA is .091. Oh wait, these numbers didn't include today's game, in which he went 0 for 3. And I noticed he batted 8th in the lineup today according to Yahoosports. That made me chuckled regarding some comment about if you can't get the #8 hitter out.... ;-) Meanwhile, Jeter did it again: .583/.615/1.167/1.782 not counting today's 1 for 4. I know I know, small sample size and all, and he's not a power hitter, so comparing OPS is a disadvantage for him. But overall he's had close to 500 postseason ABs, and he's .307/.379/.463. That's pretty damn good for a non-slugger. And we all know about some of his clutch hits. You might hate him and think he's overrated, but you have to admit, come playoff time the guy produces. ARod's playoff numbers look good in Seattle and also his first year at NY, but maybe the pressure of coming through in New York, where anything less than a WS is a failure, is getting to him a little. ;-) If you can't tell by now, I enjoy watching the $25 million dollar man choking in the playoff. ;-) |

I heard on ESPN radio tonight that only 16 mil of that huge salary is left. They were saying that he wants out of NY badly, and that nobody there would be sad to see him go. Still, ARod, even if he played at his Seattle level, couldn't do much to help the Giants. There is too much infrastructure missing for one player to make much of an impact |

I can see A-Rod being a Giant easily. I hope it happens. I mean, hell,
Barry was shite in the playoff for EVER and finally came around. dlew Steven Rubio wrote: Quote:

The Giants will sign Arod when he's 38, has hemorrhoids and can't run.
Sabean will tell us he's a PMLV. -jon rossen <DLew022@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1160287570.089828.10900@k70g2000cwa.googlegro ups.com... Quote:

Good job. But with just 5 words no one would be able to read my biased opinion. And here's hoping he's really on a decline rather than just a subpar year. |
