Big bad fastball hitter watches two of them go right over the plate without swinging.

Brett "White Flag" Tomko is in. They can sing "Auld Lang Syne" on the season now.

colletti (sp?) signed bomko to a 2 year deal, didn't he?

Yup. I still have some hope that he'll show some value as a reliever
next year (obviously not tonight), although I'm not too optimistic -
and best case is that he's overpaid but not a waste of a roster spot.
It was obvious from before the ink dried that he was a stupid signing
as a starter.

This offseason I expect the Dodgers to go after a starting pitcher -
but since Barry Zito has shown a consistent ability to throw 200+
quality innings every season, I expect Colletti to go after Schmidt.
