One Less Manager Candidate

Rumor has it that Torre is getting fired and replaced with Pinella.
This probably means Brenly will be the number one candidate for the G's
after the Yankees proved yet again, "Yankees Suck".

How would that be one less candidate? Torre would replace Pinella as a
potential manager. And a better prospect at that.

And at 7 million/yr, do you think the Giants would even entertain that

A manager who has just won 3 straight WS could ask for $7, but a manager
who just got fired will probably be working for less in his next job.

Either way, I've never been terribly impressed with the guy. Maybe he
has a talent for dealing with multiple superstar egos on the same team,
but I'm not sure that will ever apply to SF.

Well, not in the near future in all likelihood. But then I think the
responsibility of the manager in baseball is highly overrated.

They are getting rid of him because he stinks as a manager.

One Less Manager Candidate

Torre is my age, so for the Giants it would be part of the youth movement.
Torre grew up as a giants fan.
