Default Pinella headed to New York?

Not that I ever thought he would be coming back to Cincy, but it sure
sounds like the stars are aligned on Broadway for him.

George has done some stupid things in his day, but firing Joe Torre
would have to be right up there if it happens.

I don't care what team I owned or how much I owed my manager, if Joe Torre
becomes available I want him in uniform for me. Anybody remember Les Moss?

I heard Alan Cuntler saying that Torre's wife if from Cincy - I'd take him.

I think he's overrated. With that much talent, winning is hard not to do.
I'd be curious how Narron would be with those Yankee teams.

Managing that many big egos in New York is much harder than you think. Joe
makes it look easy which is why he's a great manager.

I used to think that too, until the Yankees tanked in his absence a
couple years back when he was undergoing cancer treatment, and then
came back to win after his return.

I must say that I didn't think much of Torre's managing skills during
his tenure in St. Louis, but he seems to have learned a thing or two
since then.

I'd have to know more about that stint to really buy it. How long was it?
Who did they play before, during and after, etc?

It's still hard not to win with the players he has had.
