Default Twins who?

It's easier to accept after the YANKES LOST !!!!!
The media will be all over the Yankes for weeks.
No one will even remember the Twins were in the playoffs.
Thank you Tigers.

Rightfully so.

History will remember that the Twins won the AL Central Championship
this season and the Tigers didn't.

Not any easier. I am not a Yankee fan, but a Twins fan. If anything,
it makes it worse. Twins would have had homefield advantage for the
division series.

If the Tigers lose to Oakland, that's 100% true. If they win (or even
reach) the World Series, not so much.

I think the Tigers would have to win the WS to erase the memories of
the late season choke lose the AL Central this season. Anything else
is falling short of the target, IMO.
