Default Any word on Cashman?

I was talking to a buddy today who is a Yankee fan. Unfortunately, he spent
the day at the hospital because his little girl broke her arm. He said
people at the hospital were saying Cashman and Torre are both gone.
Unfounded rumor or are there any news outlets saying this too? All I've
seen is the Torre stuff.

Nothing so far but Brian made it very clear yesterday that if the
decision were left up to him, there was no doubt in his mind that Joe
would be back. We'll have to see but the Yankee soap opera has just
begun.

That's tough news about Cashman's daughter. I haven't heard anything
about him being in trouble. If GS fires him over this that's pretty
funny and the best thing that could ever happen for the Red Sox.

I seriously doubt Cashman is going anywhere. He just signed a contract last
winter so I'd say he is safe. Torre may or may not be though. It utterly
amazes me to see the amount of speculation that Torre has already been
fired. If anything does happen to Torre, it won't be until after the end of
the postseason.
I can't remember for sure, but I recall there was a edict by MLB that no
team signings or big press news could happen during the World Series.
Either way, Torre does not deserve the railroading he is getting by the
press right now. I'm not going to blame anyone for the Detroit debacle.
Rather, I think the Detroit stepped up with a solid game plan that the
Yankees could not figure out.

Torre will never get what he deserves. God bless the press in this
particular instance though.

I don't see why Cashman is gone. He saved the season. Torre blew it.

They were out played. It happens. Not Joe Torre could do about
that. The team faced two red hot pitchers whose performance was
awe some.

We would think that people at the hospital would know.
