We all know LaRussa ignored the obvious steroid usage by Canseco and
McGwire during the Oakland years and later with McGwire with the Cardinals. Tony knows his team is horribly overmatched against the Mets so will he slip Pujols some steroids? Only time will tell! |

LaRussa is an overrated manager. Steroids have nothing to do with it. Bobby V outmanaged him in 2000 with no problem at all. The Cards will never win the WS with LaRussa as their manager. |

Oh, right. Anyone who'd suggest that a manager might actually have some inkling about the rampant steroid abuse that was going on in his own clubhouse must be "pond scum." Go tip a cow, you brain-dead hick. |

G-Man, I don't care if he comes up with men on base. I would not pitch to him all series. In baseball there are not a lot of things one can control. But it is a sport where one can decide to make sure one player on the other team cannot beat you with his bat. I once saw (and with my memory of course I forget the particulars) intentionally walking a player with the bases loaded with a 2 or 3 run lead rather than letting that player win the game (can anyone help me out here and remember...). Pujols is such a player. I hope Willie just takes him out of the game (and gets inside the Cards heads by shifting the conversation to walking Pujols). harlan -- To respond, obviously drop the "nospan"? |

Pond Scum. How incredibly mid-west that is. Bunch of faggots.

G Man, thanks for coming through. I guess I have some brain cells left. I remember watching the Bonds deal and thought it was brilliant. I remember too discussion about it by those who said it diminished the game and that if you can't pitch to someone you don't deserve to win. Frankly, I just want to win and don't want Pujols to be the guy who beats us. I hope Willie agrees or this could become the Pujols showcase series. harlan -- To respond, obviously drop the "nospan"? |
