The good and bad of playoff time
I love this season, partly because of all the good baseball and all the
baseball talk. But I have to say that the level of debate and discussion in the normally friendly confines of alt.sports.baseball.mn-twins has taken a decided nosedive over the past few weeks. I don't visit newsgroups associated with other teams (much) so I don't know if we live a sheltered life here (actually talking about baseball and statistics and success and failure and players and managers and luck and all the other things we talk about), or if this season just brings out the dingbats all across usenet. It almost makes me long for winter. Brian J
