Default Unravelling in seconds!

Have you ever seen a pitcher completely unravel (and/or wilt) in the
space of a single batter as much as Zito did when Inge hit that homer.
He had a perfect 2 2/3 innings before facing the 9th batter....then he
seemed to go to pot. Is he THAT fragile? If that's the best the A's
have to offer on the big stage, can we consider this thing over, now
(as with the Yanks) every pitching match-up favors the Tigers [once our
#4 beat the A's #1]???

I should hope so.
Let me know if this was a sweep. I'll check in about 5 days.
Sir Creep, (yawn....waiting for WS).

Wow, such confidence after only 1 game? Funny, the Yankees thought the
same thing...

happens all the time. give the hitters credit for having made him work for
those outs. he had thrown over 70 pitches and was still in the 3rd inning.

Zito had thrown 31 pitches after two innings, and even with Inge's
homer, he was fine. Physically, at least. His million-dollar arm is
never his problem. Zito's problem is his five-cent head.

As usual, Barry imploded at home like he's done all year (6-7, 4.71
ERA). Considering the spacious Coliseum, these numbers are weird, but
he's given up a lot of HRs this year at home (18, twice as many as on
the road), including too many to banjo hitters like Willie Bloomquist,
et al. At least Inge and Pudge are real hitters.

When Zito gives up those HRs off his BP fastball, you might as well
take him out right away, because he usually turns close games into
blowouts -- just like he did tonight.

As an A's fan, I hate him, and I'll be glad to see him leave so some
other team can stupidly overpay him to suck when it matters most. The
Twins must be kicking themselves right now for flailing at his s**t
last week.

Zito had thrown 31 pitches after two innings,

AND more than 31 in the third inning. Try to keep up. In jusr 3 2/3 innings
he threw NINETY TWO pitches.

All right you fuck. Am I allowed to be 'confident' after TWO such
games? FUCK YOU!
BTW, it wasn't confidence....it was an observation and a deduction.
Anyone having a DIFFERING deduction is speaking from their scrotum, not
their brain.

Oh, and a correction. I posted that in the SEVENTH INNING of the 1st
game. IT WASN'T EVEN OVER yet. So to correct you, it was LESS than
one game wherein I built up teh elephantitus of my confidence, you
loser piece of shit A's fan. Hope Finley (whoever owns that crap
franchise) enjoyed his 2 games of gate revenue. Hope your pitchers (I
use that term loosely) who are coming here to D-Town (your #3/4) are
prepared to toss across in 35-degree weather, cuz that's what we got.

Oh...those images coming across my TV screen at 30/second must have
been doctored. I either saw pitches that didn't occur, or missed those
that did. Those Goddamn TV editors! Too bad I wasn't THERE IN PERSON
to witness the true pitch count.
