Default NLCS pitching matchups

Yahoo is showing the following pitching matchups for the NLCS:

1 Weaver vs. Glavine
2 Suppan vs. Maine
3 Carpenter vs. Trachsel
4 Marquis vs. Oliver Perez
5 Weaver vs. Glavine
6 Suppan vs. Maine
7 Carpenter vs. Trachsel

I will be surprised if Marquis gets the Game 4 start ahead of Reyes.
Of course, how the first three games play out could have a lot to say
about that.

Added bonus: If Oliver Perez does actually pitch Game 4, we'll be
able to revive the entire Pujols bat flipping thread!

Under what scenario would you see Marquis getting that start?

The entire Cardinals pitching staff gets food poisoning, except for
Marquis, because he's used to eating NY food?

Hey, it could happen! ;-)

Go Cards,
Tom

If Reyes' arm comes up sore again.

Or Tony contracts Mad Cow Disease.

Either one of those scenarios.

I would imagine if the Cardinals were up 3-0 it'd be a risk worth taking.

Everything I am reading says the game 4 pitching assignment is undecided.

I also thought Reyes wasn't on the roster for the playoffs.

I think that they announced today that Reyes replaced Marquis on the roster.
