A routine they can expect every game, except play for a week and sit for a week... That sounds like a 15 man rotation so to speak. 'Trying to sort all that out now...it's very difficult.' Good luck coach! Wouldn't be surprised if it is still being "sorted out" after 82 games... |

One of Nocioni's friends is quoted as saying he'll be "crushed" if he's not starting going into a contract year. I was surprised to read it as I can't think of a player that would laugh at something like that other than Noch. |

Im not borrowing trouble at this point but I just don't see how this works right now. Skiles is a disciplined half court kinda guy and I don't see how that is compatible with a 10 or 12 deep rotation. You'd think a team that deep would be a run and gun group that would be all assholes and elbows for 48 minutes. If he is willing to alter his style to that extent then great but I don't think thats going to happen. td |

“What I like about our team is we have a lot of different guys who can do different things,” Brown said. “Coach can put any kind of lineup in there to be effective. I think he can mix and match any way he wants to, and I think we’re going to be successful.” I tend to see this Bulls team as a very difficult situation for a coach, and will be impressed if Skiles can deal with it successfully. I agree that a super deep rotation implies a lot of running...and that isn't necessarily what one expects from a Skiles team. However Bulls "pace" of play was relatively high last season, iirc. Someone correct me if I've got that wrong. Skiles could let the D be even more intense, and let the team run off turnovers and rebounds...and take a fast break shot if it's there... without necessarily turning the offense into shoot in the first five or six seconds of the shot clock ala Suns... guess we'll see... |
