Default We're never going to hear the end of this Yankee's kamikaze pitcher...

At the risk of being callous, we're never going to hear the end of this. At
least not for 2-3 weeks. It combines two things the media just loves - plane
accidents in New York City, and a member of the Yankees.

Selfish. Could have flown it into the East River at a 90 deg angle @
150MPH and done the same thing. Except he wouldn't have killed 3 other
people and injured over 10 firemen...

Where's the evidence this was deliberate?

Go Cards,

It could have been worse: Lidle could have crashed it into Shea,
delaying the NLCS.

No delay would be necessary, Royboy. Yankee Stadium isn't being used.

Go Cards,
Tom

None whatsoever. The pilot (apparently the only one aboard in the
latest reports) sent a mayday reporting fuel problems before the crash.

The latest CNN update now says that a flight instructor was aboard as
well (even more evidence that it was accidental), and that the two in
the plane were the only deaths.

Actually he was a free agent and most likely would not have signed with the
Yankees. It serves the soulless mercenary right. He wanted to learn to fly
so he wouldn't have to wait in LA traffic when he wanted to play golf. It
could have been worse, the clown circled the Statue of Liberty. Now that
would be news, Yankee destroys Statue of Liberty.

It is the only honorable thing to do when the Yankees don't win the World
Series.

What good would that be with the entire Cardinal Team dead?
