As much as they were overtaken with grief and tried to interview anyone who
would comment on Cory Lidle...they seemed to not want to re-play the phone call that Cory made to them two days ago saying he was misquoted relative to his comments on Torre, when they collectively tried to rip him a new asshole. They belong in Shea Stadium tonight, it's appropriate. Al in Poughkeepsie |

As the day turned into a serious and sad news day it was very apparent that neither Chris nor Mike are smart enough or informed enough to report on a tragedy. They really don't live in the real world and have no idea of what is truly important. They wouldn't replay the last interview they had with Corey because they had deliberately provoked him. Unfortunately Mike and Chris make an obscene amount of money for behaving like egotistic jerks and WFAN lets them get away with it. There are actually some at WFAN - Tony Paige, Richard Neer, Kevin Burkhardt, John Minko and others who can handle sports and reporting in a much more civilized manner than Mike and the Mad Dog. |

Believe me, they feel guilty. I know I would if that was my last communication with someone who tragically died moments later. I don't feel sorry for them. I didn't understand why they carried on like that. Vinnie S. |

Because they're not capable of better than that and they actually believe their little show is really important. If they had any dignity, they'd apologize, but don't hold your breath. |

Well, this is closer to an apology than I expected. On the other hand, I didn't realize he had been this much of an asshole to Lidle. http://www.newsday.com/sports/print...ny-sports-print |
