and it wont be a managerial issue either. there are many other
franchises with much stronger front offices and farm systems. there is an internal rot in the yankee organization. MONEY has corrupted their view of how to run and develop a franchise. And even with ARod as a possible/potential bargaining chip, pitching is in short supply. And Rod has veto power over a trade. Supposedly the Angels are the only team he would consider. and i bet that if/when he lleaves NYK, he'll go ape shit in another uniform. |

Just as long as the Red Sox finish in LAST PLACE we are all happy maybe 2007 will be a race between Toronto and Baltimore "kingly69" <kingly69@mn.rr.com> wrote in message news:1160633288.162693.112630@c28g2000cwb.googlegr oups.com... Quote:

That's the RedSox fans' mentality. As a Yankee fan, I don't give a rat's ass about the RedSox as long as the Yankees make the playoffs. -- If I were a cactus, I wouldn't need so much water |

The mentality of a Yankee fan is if the team does not win we don't show up or they root for the Mets. George knows that, he owned the team in the 80's when he could not fill the stadium even on promotional nights and he looked over in Queens and seen Shea filled. |
